“This is Linda, and I can help you”

When I call to schedule service for my car, the young woman who answers the phone says “Thank you for calling ______.  This is Jennifer and I can help you.”  I still remember the first time she said that to me a few years ago.  I was, for a moment, speechless.  Then I said “Wow! I love that!” Continue reading

Actually, I can and I do.  I realize it’s a gift.  My head hits the pillow and I generally don’t wake up till morning.  It’s one of those things I might take for granted, if it weren’t for the occasional restless night.

A few days ago, a friend was telling me how he couldn’t sleep.  “I fall asleep, no problem. Then at 2 or 3 in the morning, I wake up and that’s it!  I’m done!  I toss and turn and drive myself crazy EVERY night!”  Continue reading

It’s a Trick Question

I really like trick questions, because they require that I stop and think before answering. So here’s one for you: Is the room you’re currently in big or small?  If you answered either big or small or even pretty big or pretty small I would have to hit the proverbial WRONG buzzer.  The correct answer is “I can only answer that question by comparing the room to something else.”  Right? Continue reading

We Don’t Need to Know HOW

It’s true, no kidding! We do not need to know HOW we’re going to achieve something we truly want. Now I fully realize how crazy that sounds, yet I assure you, it is the absolute opposite of crazy. Continue reading

Well, What Did You Expect?

So much of what happens to us is influenced by our expectations.  For instance, when I go to the grocery store or the mall, I get the absolute best parking spot in the lot.  When I go to get my hair cut, the primo spot, right in front of the salon, opens up just as I’m ready to pull in.  When this happens I feel grateful (and a little giddy), because it’s such a great example of the Continue reading

Don’t Worry…Be Grateful

Sometimes I get in a “funky” mood and by funky, I mean lousy, cranky, yucky.  Understanding the Law of Attraction as I (am beginning to) do, I know how important it is to feel good.  So when I find myself in a ho-hum mood, I understand the only thing I can possibly attract is other ho-hum things~ like a stubbed toe, or a spilled cup of coffee, or a cat throwing up on the rug.  Like attracts like, so if I’m feeling yucky, my main objective is to feel just a little bit better~ as soon as humanly possible. Continue reading

The Law of Attraction Loves Facebook

One of the things I do as a coach (maybe the only thing…hmmmmmmm…) is to help people remain focused on what they want. We work hard to clearly define our goals and then we work hard at creating that picture in our minds. The picture is key. Once you have a clearly defined picture, your responsibility is to Continue reading

A $25,000 Idea That Won’t Cost You a Penny

How do you manage your daily activities; Daytimer, Outlook, Franklin Planner?  I’ve tried (and found value from) them all, but feel this simple system is THE most effective in keeping me organized and efficient.  I call it my $25,000 Idea Pad and here’s why… Continue reading

Being World Famous

One of my favorite ways to learn is to study with my mentor, Paul Martinelli. Anyone who knows me, knows what a HUGE fan I am.  Today Paul taught a lesson on what it means to be “World Famous.”  The lesson centered on The World Famous Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle.  If you have a minute, check out some of the bios of the fish mongers.  It’s obvious these guys absolutely, positively LOVE what they do each day. WAIT~What Am I thinking?

I love this acronym~W.A.I.T.~What Am I Thinking.
I usually put both a question mark and an exclamation point at the end of that sentence; What Am I Thinking?!  (Can you hear me questioning and scolding myself at the same time?) It’s a way to redirect my thoughts when I catch myself going off track

Here’s an example I think many of us can relate to: Continue reading
